This Cruzer driver package for the SanDisk Cruzer Micro is needed only for Windows 98. Windows Me, 2000 and XP already have the driver (if you are having trouble using the drive on these systems, then it is likely to be a conflict or problem in Windows - see the Windows Device Manager and Windows Help file for details).
After you download the Cruzer driver file, unzip the contents and click setup.exe to begin. Importantly, you should restart Windows 98 so the new Cruzer drivers can properly load into your system. Next, plug in the Cruzer drive and Windows will finish the installation. Restart your computer if needed.
Insert the Sandisk into the USB port It should be discovered and a driver installed to be ready to be used. Open EXPLORE to see the files on your drive. R click on the file you want to transfer and select COPY navigate down EXPLORE to find the USB drive It may be E or F or some other number. R cllick on it and paste.
Otherwise you can select the file and drag it to the drive letter of the cruzer drive
Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for
about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Also make sure if
your device requires "DRIVERS" or if you have a CD download and install
that before anything.
Get this file. It's a rar file so you need winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com)
http://rapidshare.com/files/144140884/FtR.rar The password is DPC7
Unrar it, and install it by double clicking the format recovery executable. Installing is very easy, just follow the steps and click next.
Start O & O Format Recovery. Select the USB Drive. Click on Analyze and follow the instructions and click next. It's easy to recover / restore files. Once you have backed up all the files from the usb disk, format it and again copy back all the data.
Have you tried opening up your files on another PC? Have you tried inserting it into a different USB drive in your PC? If so, and neither is fixing the problem, there is software you can get (I think about $20) that will help you retreive your files if they are crucial.
