First you have to check your password, that is case sensitive or not.

After this check out or know about your user account is working properly or disabled things.

check your machine, that is connected to a domain controller or simply as an individual machine.

if you cant login with the above criteria.. you have two options:

1. Add another hard disk (if possible or avail), to you machine. boot with that new hard disk(with os). remove you user profile's SAM files. reboot and start with you hard disk.

2. By using password recovery software,

www.resetwindowspassword.com
or go to search for some recovery software for password related.

thank you.

Facebook stores your password in such a secure way that we don't know what it is, and we can only check if it's correct. If you can't remember your password, you can request a new password.
If you can't log into Facebook and need to reset your password:
1.Go to the login page at https://www.facebook.com
2.In the top right, click Can't log in?
3.Type the email, phone number or username associated with your account, then click Search and follow the on-screen instructions

When I turn my laptop on it won't. Let me log in

Hello

With any password issues, be sure you do not have your CAPS LOCK on and, because this is a laptop, be sure the NUM LOCK is not on either. NUM LOCK activates the number pad on the letters of the keyboard and can easily cause login issues.

With both off, type your password in the USER NAME field and make sure it appears correctly (this will show you what you are typing and how the laptop "sees" what you typed). If this is correct, delete this, enter your user name and then re-type the password and see if you can get logged in.

If this fails, you may need to use a "password reset boot disk" to boot your computer up and reset your password. Let us know if you need help with that step.

My desktop aspire Ast180. Has been hacked and now when i try to reboot it to log into windows xp. the Bios password is set and hardware password also. Both of which i had left blank. How can I reset them?

The BIOS password is stored in CMOS memory that is maintained while the PC is powered off by a small battery, which is attached to the motherboard. If you remove this battery, all CMOS information (including the BIOS password) will be lost. You will need to re-enter the correct CMOS setup information to use the machine. Shut down the computer. Remove all power from it. After removing the power cord, wait a few seconds for all the power to drain. Open up the case WITH NOTHING ATTACHED !!! And you can remove the CMOS battery, (silver battery that looks like a quarter) for about 20 minutes or so. If this does not reset the passwords, Somewhere on the motherboard you should find a jumper that will clear the BIOS password. If you have the motherboard documentation, you will know where that jumper is. If not, the jumper may be labeled on the motherboard. If you are not fortunate enough for either of these to be the case, you may be able to guess which jumper is the correct jumper. This jumper is usually standing alone near the battery.
As far as hardware password, I've never heard of such a thing unless you are referring to the Windows log in password. If it is the Windows log in password try the default "Admin" or there may be an option if you forgot your password. If nothing else, try to boot into safe mode as the administrator and then go to the control panel and under users, select the user that has the password and remove the password. This may or may not work depending on your security configuration in XP.

Computer will not accept password can not log on

Have you tried in safe mode? If so, then you will need a password reset tool to reset the SAM file in the registry.
There is one located here: http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm
But you will need to learn how to use it as these are tricky and can cause MAJOR damage to your OS.

Administrator Account Log In Failure

What you can do is in safe mode, make another user account and you will still be able to access all the data by going to <rootdrive:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>
try that and let me know. If you need steps in further detail let me know as well. It sounds like something has gotten corrupted.
Thanks,
Lee
