Question about Logitech Webcam
When i start the logitech software, I am able to see my image on the webcam. When I start yahoo messenger and click on view my webcam, it comes up with 2 error messages:
1) ym does not find a webcam is attached
2) the image size is not supported.
OS - windows xp
Here's what I've tried -
1. download and install logitech driver version 11.5, downloaded older versions of YM and the beta version. Each version yielded the same error messages
2. called logitech tech support who gave me instructions to check properties, camera source, image size, etc.
3. rebooted pc as asked.
4. restarted ym - still got the same error messages.
Am unable to find any solution in google that could fix the problem.
Anyone out there with ideas/solutions to this dilemna?
See section B. Yahoo in the info below.
Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:
C. Windows Live Messenger:
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud
