Remote control failure and more

My slim cute remote for MC 320 failed twise the same way - somethin wrong with battery compartment. New batteries don`t help- sometimes pressing it harder over battery seems to restore contacts only for a while. It was rplaced once in the guarantie period but couple of months later same problem occured . So i am without it for about 2 years now. What a shame!
Is this model still possible to reorder - any other alternatives??? I also had problems with the microsystem itself - some sort of circuitry failure whenever touching the front panel buttons - it either doesen`t start playback CD or stopping it and on the diplay appears "CD open" and " reading"... I seem to have fixed it just today, hope to last another couple of months untill i find better one. Anyway i am dissappointed , come to think Philips is no longer my favorte brand...

- Right!!! I am proud to say I have finally fixed that circuitry problem on my MC-320 and it work just fine . I`ts pure mechanic misunerstanding by the designer - bad idea of using low grade plastic material. Anyway, here how I fixed it in pictures: Remove lower case lid and you`ll see this lever of power cuter - it is very sensitive and this is why it stops playback with every touch of the front panel or buttons. I simply took a piese of clear plastic pipe and slide it over that lever ,thus tighen it to the opposing pusher of the front panel.. You may glue it if needed.Easy task ;)
