I bought 8GB cruzer micro from scandisk, on the cover there is one small stick and a sticker looks like a print circuit. Can anyone tell me for what it is and how to utilize it.

Don't mess with that , microcircuits are not to be tampered with unless you know exactly what you're doing and have all the nessessary tools and a clean room.

the sticker may be just for looks or may be there to cover the EEPROM from light which could erase it , I know it's not an EEPROM but same princible applies if ineed it's a protection cover , I don't have the 8Gig one just the 2Gig U3 one , they are essentialy the same , I wouldn't worry about an external sticker
