Dishwasher will not operate

Those touch panel units do not have operator resets. You need to have an appliance repair center check out the panel for a possible fault.

Control lock

That is the correct button to push to turn the control lock off. You can try to reset the control by removing power for two minutes. If the dishwasher is doing the same thing, most likely the touch pad has a shorted button or a bad connection on the unit control board. To check touch pad connection you will have to open the console. You will want to turn the power off to the dishwasher first. I have provided you a systematic guide on how to open the console. Once the console is open, remove and install the ribbon cable a few times. Now put the door back together and restore the power. If the dishwasher works, it was just a bad connection on the ribbon cable. If the console is doing the same thing, it could be a console or a unit control faulty. I recommend the console first. Maytag Quiet Series 200 dishwasher doesn't start

The electronic control panel has gotten wet and needs to be replaced (about $200 for parts plus about $200 for service call/labor) I just had mine replaced about 10 month ago, stopped using the type of dishwasher soap I had based on Maytag Service staff recommendation, stopped using hot wash to prevent high condensation at the door and now its broken again and in need of a new control panel again. You may be money ahead to go buy a new dishwasher that does not have the plastic encased control panel at the top. My understanding is the control panels are poorly engineered and made for most dishwasher manufactures by one of the mega electronic/appliance companies.

What does the max extract feature do

If the washer is removing all of the water from the washer during the spin cycle it is likely working properly. Not an expert but I believe max extract causes the washer to spin for a slightly longer period of time in order to remove more water from the clothes. We use it regularly because our clothes come out to wet otherwise.

Water will not drain on neptune MAH3000AWW washer tried different cycles. It started working for a while after we took back off and took things apart but now it won't drain at all.

There are many things could make a dishwasher not drain, here's a list of the most common reasons.
  • a clog or air gap in the drain line, often the problem is where the drain line attaches to the household drain line, if you remove this line you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection.
  • a defective pump, your dishwasher pump ejects the water.
  • many dishwashers use a drain valve or solenoid, the solenoid can sometimes become stuck or defective solenoid.
  • a defective motor, if the motor is'nt turinig or working the dishwasher won't drain.

I need to find a new aerator & the guts

I had to go to Home Depot and stack a few adaptors together to get a proper fit. You will probably end up without an aerator but, you will be able to use the dishwasher.

Maybe you over-loaded, or you did not shut the door properly. Try reading the users' manual.
