Printing from Microsoft Office Word 2007

I have a Brother printer and I am able to print anythiing from the Internet. However, when I try to print something that I've typed in Word I can't. When the print screen comes up the bar for the drop down menu is blank. When I press the arrow for the drop down the printer appears but when I click on it it never shows up on the search bar. When I try to find the printer I get a message that the search is unavailable. I've had this program for about 5 months and up until recently it's been working perfectly. I even tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. I don't know what else to try. Thanks

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Deskjet 5550; Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007; not printing

That is strange
Try changing the default to a different printer (Microsoft XPS Document Writer) see if it prints to it...

Then (If that works) try switching the 5550 back to default.

If that don't do it, uninstall thee printer, reboot and reinstall the printer.

Can't address envelopes using Microsoft Word 2007 & Windows 7

Excellent question. Wish I had the answer. I have the same problem with the MFC-7440N. I hook up my old HL 1240 and it prints them fine, so I now use two printers - one for envelopes and one for normal printing. I contacted Brothers and was told that it was not the printer, but the Application. If so, then why does my old Brothers printer work? They do not have the answer.

Printing issues with Word 2007 on vista computer

Are you having a problem with this one computer AND only MS Office? For example, if you try to print something from Wordpad or another non-Microsoft office product, do you have the same problem? If so, I would delete that specific printer from your list of printers, reboot then try adding the printer again. It sounds like something is wrong with the way the printer is defined, not something with Office.

When printing from word 2007 on vista bold type is gibberish

Try re-installing the printer driver(s) first. If no luck, then un-install the printer completely, reinstall and try again. You may also have an issue with an incompatible driver with Office 2007. After reinstalling the drivers, try to print a test page and see what happens.

Unable to print from word 2007

I had a similar problem. When I set up Vista I created an Administrator account, then set up my everyday user account. After hours of tweaking settings and re-installing printers, I realized that I could print from Office 2007 from my admin account but not from my user account. Of course, the error messages in no way indicated a permissions problem - they indicated I had a printer problem or a driver problem. Anyway, as a test, I granted my everyday account Admin status and now I can print fine. I had to sacrifice some security just to be able to do a simple thing like use the printer. Oh well, maybe "Windows 2057" will fix everything....
