As mattkanine said,you may need to format it first.
if that doesnt work,check and see if its a memory stick pro duo.
if neither of those is the problem,you may have a faulty memory stick and youll need to bring it back to where you got it.
if none of those seems to be the problem,borrow one from a friend or use another one of yours and see if they work.
also,check and see if you can get internet and sound,because the memory,sound,and wi-fi are allon the same board (my mem/sound/wifi board got muffed up,so id know that one).if they dont work,you may need to purchase a new circuit board/psp.
kind of a lengthy answer,but it should solve your problem.
