If you have a facebook account:
1. Choose the "Privacy Settings" option in the Account drop-down menu at the top of any Facebook page.
2. Select "View settings" in the "Connecting on Facebook" section.
3. Change the setting for "Send you friend requests."

If the requests are not showing up on facebook.com (just in your email) they're most likely spam.

Why all Generations like to hang out on Facebook?

Who would ever think that a website named "Facebook" would be adopted by so many Individuals the world over, of all different generations, to meet up and communicate with each other. You can not only catch up with long lost family, but you can socialize with the world, joining groups and finding new friends. There are no age barriers for Facebook. It attracts anyone from 10 years of age up to 80 or more. Yes, we have to face the fact that people under 18 years of age are members of this website.

Why does the older generation like Facebook?

When Facebook first came out the older generation were saying how stupid it was, being so public, having your name on the internet. Now they have all joined in on the fun.

For one thing, your friends and family are posting photos and updates of their everyday lives. This is very handy when you live across the other side of the world. You can practically spy on your friends and family, looking at photos and reading all their chatting activities. This is a great way to keep up with the family gossip.

Why does the younger generation like Facebook?

Even though you must be 18 years of age to sign up for a Facebook account, the younger generation has found its way into this website. Everyone of my daughter friends are members of Facebook and they are all ten years of age... Who can blame them though. The games that are associated with Facebook are attracting all generations. People my age are going on to Facebook to play Farmville, and to join groups with people of similar interests.

The younger generation plays cafe world, fish world, sorority life, mafia gangs, and more.. This is what they spend most of their time doing on Facebook, along with taking quizzes and surveys.

Disadvantages To Facebook For All Generations:

Unfortunately there are some disadvantages to Facebook, just like any other social networking website. Because Facebook has become so popular it has become a target for spammers, viruses, and sneaky tactics. Scammers have realized the value in peoples contact lists and will try anything to get them.

The other disadvantage is that people are not totally aware of what they are sharing. What can strangers see when they are viewing your profile?

Despite the disadvantages, individuals of all generations like to use the Internet to socialize, especially through Facebook. I was one of those sceptical people that have now joined in. Can you believe that I am a member of the same website as my children and their grandparents? For that reason, it is just good that there is a social networking website that has a focus on all generations.

Cannot get on facebook

Create a Facebook Account
Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family from college, high school, church, etc.!
It is user friendly and easy to understand. It also now has instant messaging on it so that you can talk to other friends logged on!

Before setting up a Facebook account, you must have an e-mail address.
That will be your sign in name.
Also, you must be at least 13 years old.
Go to http://www.facebook.com./
On that page, you will see sign up and a place to put your full name, e-mail address, new password, gender, and birth date.
Fill out that information and click sign up.

The next step will be a security check.
It will ask you to enter the text you see in the box above.
Enter the words correctly and press sign up.
If the words are entered correctly, it will then ask you to confirm your e-mail address.
You will need to go to the e-mail address you put and check for an e-mail from Facebook.
The subject Facebook Registration Confirmation. In the e-mail, it will give you a link to press to confirm your e-mail address.
It will bring you to a new screen.
The first step will be to see if your friends have an account.
It can check it through your e-mail address book.
If you don't want to do that now, you can skip the step.
That option is at the bottom of the page.
Step 2 will ask you for some profile information.
It will ask what high school and college you attend or attended.
This will help find classmates.
Click next and it will bring you to a page with photos.
You can then add friends from school.
You can skip this step if you like.
Step 3 is to join a network.
You do not have to join a network.
A network is a city or school you would like to be associated with.
You can skip this step if you like.
Your profile is now made! You can add photos if you like and add and change any information.
Become Unblocked on Facebook
When you are blocked by someone on Facebook, there are few options to unblock yourself. In fact, unless the person unblocks you on their own, you can't become unblocked on your own.
There is one thing that you can do, that requires setting up a new Facebook account.
You can use your same name, but you must sign up with a different email address.
Once the new account is set up, you can proceed to contact the person who blocked you.
Keep in mind that the person may see your online attempts to contact her as harassment and may block your second account as well.

Go to facebook.com and fill in the "Sign Up" section.
Enter an alternative email address that isn't attached to an existing Facebook account in the "Your Email" and "Re-enter Email" fields.
Click the "Sign Up" button once.
Enter the Captcha security code in the text box and click the "Sign Up" button a second time.

Complete the Facebook account registration and find friends, add profile information and upload a profile picture.
These items are optional and you may add them at a later time.
Click the "Save & Continue" button to finish.
Go to your alternative email account and retrieve the Facebook confirmation message.
You will need to click a link in that email before your new Facebook account becomes active. Once the account is active, you can contact the person who blocked your other account.

Someone block me in facebook.i can't send friend request i can't send send message

When some one blocks you on facebook, then you dont exist to such a prson as a facebook friend. You dont see his or her posts, and most importantly, you cant contact the person in any form on face book. That was the reason you were blocked in the first place.
So why dont you have fun with the rest of your friends on facebook and totally forget about this person who does not want contacts from you.
You would end up happier, defeating the intended aim; to make you unhappy.
But if you are so insistent on having the facebook contact, you could contac that person on phone or via email, if you hve access to those, and politely ask why he or she doesnt want contact any more.
Whichever way, the bottom line is that you maintain a happy demeanor, because you can no longer access that friend on facebook unless he or she grants you.
Hope that was relieving.
All the best.
