Question about Frigidaire FEQ1442ES Electric Dryer
My dryer keeps turning and does not produce heat.
I had a no heat problem although I di not have the blicking lights you had. After I changed the control panel (a very expensive item) because the maintenance manual says so, I had no success, same problem. After reviewing the print I noticed the control thermistor. I checked the manaul again and it says if open or shorted check wiring and check thermistor for a 50 Kohm value. It does not say it has anything to do with the heating circuit. But, I pull the thermistor out and it reads 2.79 Kohm. So I set up a variable resistor to 50 Kohm and connected to the 2 leads, turned on the dryer and bingo it worked again. I have the part on order which is only a $10 item. So I lost $200 on this learning experience because they won't take back special order items. So my word of advice is that the manual does not tell you everything to check but they do tell you how to check most sensors so please do this before you change the control panel.

Usually heat element or high and low limit sensors need changing, check vent lines are not plugged or 220 breaker if split breaker is only tripped on one side?

Tips for a great answer:
Hello ljdixon226 - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control panel. However, if the unit is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly as well. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.
