Crosman 2104 Air Rifle

I bought a new Crosman 2100 rifle that was shipped to me a couple of months ago. From the very start the accuracy was way off when using the scope. I even went and replaced the scope with a better one and I still can't get a grouping better than 9 inches at 15 yards after about 6 -7 shots. I notice that the barrel can shift in and out a few thou and also rotate a hair. I wonder if this would throw off accuracy.
