Acer Monitor installed

I plugged in an Acer AL1714A FPD to my Users PC and rebooted it. She called when she opened Outlook and all her email shows up in light grey characters. It wasn't just Outlook. All printing (Word docs, Online articles, etc.) comes up in a light grey. I have swapped out seven monitorers for FTDs and this is the first one to have a problem like this. Do I need to download the software for this FPD?
