Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I HAVE A UNIDEN BC80XL HAED HELD SCANER RADIO. MAYBE IM STIPID BUT I CANT GET IT PROGRAMED FOR ANY FREQ. i NEED SOME REALL HELP THANKS

Your first step is to compile a list of active frequencies in your area. You can find a very good database at:
www.RadioReference.com

Next, mark or highlight the frequencies that you want to program, making sure that they will work with your scanner. See your scanner manual for a list of covered frequency ranges. The BC80XLT will hold 50 frequencies.

Once you have the desired frequencies, you're ready to begin:

- Power the scanner ON.
- Press the MANUAL key.
- Enter the channel number that you want to program (01 - 50). If you're going to program the entire scanner for the first time, start with channel 01.
- Press the MANUAL key.
- Use the keypad to enter the desired frequency, including the decimal point (e.g., 146.075). Zeros at the end of the listed frequency need not be entered (e.g., 805.25000 should be entered as 805.25).
- Press the E key to save your program information.
- Press MANUAL to advance to the next channel, then start by entering the frequency.

More detailed instructions are in the factory manual. If you don't have a copy you can download and print it, at no cost, here:

I need to program a weather scanner for a pro 2018 weather scanner from rdio shack

Weather frequencies are factory programmed into the PRO-2018. Just press the weather button to start scanning them. You can also program one or more manually if you wish. For a list of NOAA weather broadcast frequencies, follow this link:

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/indexnw.htm

How do you find someone to program a Bearcat scanner?

The 370 is a straightforward scanner and fairly simple to set up, and you should be able to program it yourself with no problems.

Your first step is to make a list of the frequencies that you want to program. Your scanner has the capacity to hold up to 300 frequencies, so you should probably write out a list or type it up in your computer. There's an area in the scanner operating manual for listing your frequencies, but it doesn't have space for you to list the users. You can find a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area by visiting:

www.RadioReference.com

Once you have your list,
1. Power the scanner ON.
2. Press the E/PGM key to enter the programming mode.
3. If the displayed channel is not the one you want to program, enter the desired channel number and then press HOLD.
4. Enter the desired frequency - including the decimal point.
5. Press E/PGM to enter your data into the scanner's memory.
6. To program the next channel, press the UP or DOWN arrow key, and then start again with step 4 above.
7. To exit the programming mode, press the HOLD and SCAN keys.

The scanner operating manual contains more detailed programming instructions, along with information on how to use features like SEARCH, Weather Alerts, and Band Search. If you don't already have a copy of the manual, you can download and print it here:

If you run into any problems while programming, just let us know.

Uniden 30 ch scanner i have locked out all channels.

Each channel with the zeroes means that it is a blank - with nothing programmed into it. Going to any one of them and programming a frequency will get rid of the zeroes and switch off the lockout. It's picking up weather, so it's working. Sounds like you just need to find and program active frequencies for your area, and the place to find them is:

www.RadioReference.com

If you need it, you can download and print the manual for the BC60XLT-1 here:
