Error message C:13:02

I dropped my camera the other day, and the disc came out of place. When I replaced it there was an error message saying the disc was unrecordable. I replaced the disc and it worked fine for a few days. Now it gives error message C:13:02, "The disc may be dirty or have scratches on it." When I hit record it says "Disc error. Unsupported format." It's worked several times since being dropped. Any ideas?

Old Discs work... just went to the store, got new DVDs to film my kids birthday. Opened the package and then I got the C:13:02 and the camera won't let me format the disk. Anyone has had any luck getting feedback on what to do next?

I have the DCR DVD108 Model. Even though the sony manual claims that all of these types of discs can be used in the camcorder, I've tried two types and only one has worked for me: DVD-R

  • DVD-RW
  • DVD+RW
  • DVD-R
  • DVD+R DL

Error code 2881

Hi,

Found error in image file, Error Occurred, error 0901, 572, 2881
The camera says found error in image file, repair data now. When you press yes it says "Error occurred. Please replace disc." or use ac adapter/charger, turn off power. It won't let you go to Disc Navigation to finalize it. While recording video on DVD-R media the battery power may have failed and camera shut off. When turned on the message shown on the lcd is Found error in image file, Error Occurred, error 0901.

Lens error

yes, this happened to me, what you have to do is "snap" the lens back in place, if it is bent anyway. if it is not bent and it says lens error, does it the lens come in and out? if not then it is bent if so then there is a hardware error in the switch and you will have to send it to a profesionall. :) hope i could be some help :)

I have had my camra for 3 days and all of a sudden its says lens error

The lens error message indicates that either the autofocus motor is not working properly or that the zoom motor is not working. In any case, with a camera so ne, this should be brought back to the place of purchase for a warranty exchange. Unless the camera has been dropped, this should be a simple replacement transaction.

Keep us posted.

Lens wont close.

A lens error on these can happen after a drop as you said had happened. It's best to have it go into a service center, they can service the camera and replace the broken part and have you your camera working perfectly again. The one that many people go with for the Canon Powershots is: www.camerasandparts.com They are not much at all and they do excellent work. They're about half the price of what Canon wants and they include all of the service, parts and everything else. If you need help with it, they'd be the place. Good luck with the problem.

Error message + disc opened acidentally + recording disabled

1. cleaning the laser lens with isopropilic alcohol and q-tip
2. Try the reset button on the bottom of the camera. Tilt your camera and look below the LCD Display Backlight button on the bottom edge of the curved portion of the camera. You will need a paperclip or tip of a ball point pen to push the recessed little button. Place the camera on a level surface and try again. We find that the camera is very sensitive to tilting, as it gets older.
3. Make sure you format format at was FAT not fat32
4. All you need to do is "Quick format" the disk with the CAMERA rather than the memry stick plugged into the computer drive.
5. For sony error c:1301 using mini cd's: there is a program that recovers data from cd's that works with disk that have this error. It called "cdroller" Homepage is : www.cdroller.com
6. just take the memory stick off and re-insert it lot of times.. just keep doing it.
