Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3xx Cellular Phone

1 Answer

3g broken? I am certain that my family has a multimedia-internet plan in our at&t provided service. When I got my razr v3 it had the little "3g" icon in the top left next to the bars. Recently, the icon just dissappeared, and suddenly I could no longer access the internet or recieve or send picture mail. When I try to access the internet it says "Network Problem. You tried to access the address which is currently unavailible. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page." It gives this message reguardless of what website I attempt to access. I have already tried taking out my SIM card multiple times, even that has the 3g icon on it! I doubt it's a problem with the actual internet browser or my plan, I just don't know what to do. I've had this problem for about 3 months. Please help. Thanks, Ross

SOURCE: 3g No Longer Working?

hi, what model of Razr do you have please? I read where you said it was a v3 but the v3 do not have the 3g. the v3x, v3xx, and a razr2 v8 all have the 3g. I guess it might be possible for someone to add 3g to a v3 but they don't come with 3g from Motorola as far as I know. You can look under the battery and it should tell you the model.
It sounds like your settings might have gotten changed in your cell phone. You can check your settings by going to at&t support site, then tutorials

Hi, i just bought a motorola razr v3 phone online. Its stated that it only support 2G and not 3G format. my sim card is in 3G? What can i do?

It should still work if your provider still supports 2g. my 3g hero can still talk to a 2g network. Try it. The worst that can happen is it won't work.

What is data ready in phone status settings

data ready means that your phone is data capable, which means it can browse the internet or be "tethered", which is basically connecting your phone to your computer, to be used as a modem, with speeds anywhere from 56Kbps - 768Kbps....depending on your carrier......this is also not recommended unless you have an "unlimited data" plan, and some carries will STILL charge you for data usage past a certain amount.

it just means you have some sort of data package on your plan, or your phone will SUPPORT a data package. call your fcell provider to make sure, before you go browsing the internet on your phone, because if you dont have any data plan, they will charge you an arm and a leg.
