SOURCE: GE diswasher GSD4020Z02BB doesn't completely drain

rs, in the back under the screen is a piston nut assy. This is a common problem on these GE's. The seal on the assy. becomes warped or worn and when this happens we get water left in the tub after drain. It's an easy fix. The screen comes off and the pistion nut assy. simply unscrews. The part number is WD24X220. You can look it up on the net, inexpensive. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: How to knock out garbage disposal plug

Turn off the power source to the garbage disposal. Take the drain hose from the dishwasher off the connector going to the disposal (if connected). Insert a flat blade screwdriver in the drain hose fitting and tap a few times with a hammer. The plastic plug will pop off inside the garbage disposal. Reach inside from the top of the disposal to retrieve the plastic plug. Sometimes you have to use a little force to tap the plug out. Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher does not drain

Some Kenmore DW have a check valve attached to the sump that may have a blockage. Remove toe panel, look for a long, white, plastic fitting attached the front, right side of the sump. Remove the drain hose from the valve. Unscrew the valve from the sump and inspect for debris inside the valve.

SOURCE: Removing dishwasher drain plug on a new garbage disposal.

The plug is thin plastic. Use a flat blade screw driver and a hammer to knock it out. I know this sounds primitive but this is how it is done. I have been a plumber for thirty years.

Samsung dishwasher heavy and delicate lights blink and cycle stops

The lights that are blinking are indicating an error code--the particular code you describe is a "heater error". You will have to check the circuit for an open heater element, loose or broken wire, defective main control board. The part number for the main board is DE92-02256C. Hope I helped you!

Is it possible for the homeowner to fix a Samsung dishwasher that has the "heavy" light blinking and will not run? The manual says it is a leakage problem but no leakage is detected.

You are correct, the HEAVY light blinking indicates a leakage problem. Remember that the Samsung DW's (dishwashers) have a base that holds the water so it doesn't run out on your floor. You will have to pull your DW out so you can remove the right-side metal panel. Pull the insulation up so you can look inside. You will see the floor of the plastic base has a low spot in it, and the water sensor is located over that area. That area must be completely dry (1/8" of water will trigger the error). Once you sop up and dry all the water there, you can start up the dishwasher and watch for leaks. The most common places are the drain pump (also visible on the right-hand side) or the drain hose. And sometimes, there is no leak, but water got in there because you used too much detergent (or the wrong detergent), and it caused it to overflow into the base.

Why is the heavy light blinking on my samsung dishwasher

That is usually indicating a leakage error, which means water has leaked down into the base of the dishwasher. You'll have to pull the dishwasher out, pull off the side panels, and dry up all the water, but you still have the problem of figuring out where the leak came from and fixing the problem before you can use the dishwasher. The most common source of leakage in a Samsung DW is the drain pump and/or drain hose.

Samsung dishwasher flashing heavy light

Had a look in the user manual for your dishwasher.http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201211/20121101114232459/DW7933LRASR-00141A-02.pdf

Page 26 shows blinking Heavy light means there is leakage in the dishwasher. Most likely there is water in the base under the drain sump which could cause the flood switch to trip. Turn mains power to dishwasher off. Pull it out from under kitchen bench without breaking the hoses. Put some towels on the floor and turn dishwasher back and forth on incline to get water out. Wait a little and turn on. If no difference then you need to dry the base and find the source of the leak. More likely the door seal.

Low water level

Try to unstick the float. The float tells the DW how much water is in it at any given time. It is shaped like a mushroom on the bottom of the DW basin. Gently pick it up and set it back down. Does it seem free? Try the cycle again.

All my lights on the front of the dishwasher are blinking at me & stops running after 3 minutes into the cycle. What is the cause of this & of course, I am two months past my warranty. Help.

If three lights are blinking (normal, heavy, quick)... I just had this same problem, and I think I figured it out. There was water on the bottom from the last cycle, so I pressed HEAVY and DELICATE at the same time for 3 seconds (you'll see it printed on the control panel), and the unit drained. I was then able to start the new cycle normally without the error. Hope that helps!
