Re: difital media reader
If you have made sure that all cables are correctly connected. Then I would try shutting down the computer and wait abou 5-10 seconds and then restart.
If that doesnt correct it, I would check to make sure that it is installed correctly in the Device Manager.
To do this, click Start > Run > type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. This will open Device Manager. Once there look for items with a yellow ! beside them. These are items that are not installed correctly.
If you see any yellow ! I would suggest trying Windows Update to check for drivers. To do this, open Internet Explorer then click Tools > Windows Update. Once it lloads you will have the option of Express or Custom. Choose Custom. Your machine will be scanned for updates. You will need to scan through the Critical, Software, Hardware updates on the left and make sure that all of them are selected and then choose Review/Install updates at the top of the screen. This will start the download and installation process of the updates. You will probably be prompted to restart after the updates finish.

Hi, In the card slot if u are inserting a mmc card it will be inserted directly and after inserting u will find a new drive in my computer and on opening that u will be finding the data and to transfer the data directly right click on the data and send to drive name allottedto card reader. If u rae using a micro SD card then u will have to use an adaptor which will convert micro sd card to the MMC size.
Try pushing in on the card until it clicks, and springs back out. If it is not that type of slot, then pull the card out using a pair of needle nosed plyers (since you obviously can't pull it out by hand). If it looks to require too much force, then you might want to try taking out the screws on the back of the laptop to reveal the card slot, there is an obstruction that is preventing the card from being removed. I had an issue with an SD card getting stuck, and I pulled it, but the pins stayed inside, so use caution & be gentle.
yes i think so,what u mean by the plastic though, generally the sd card is inserted into some sort of device and then inserted into the computer's reader
i suppose u are talking about the inbuilt the reader in the laptop
I'm not sure what is entailed in "using safe eject of hardware" on your set, but unless you are actually in (during) the process of reading or writing files to the card there is no need to use anything like that with SD cards. That may be causing some interference with subsequent cards, so I would try simply unplugging the card and plugging in the next with no intervening operations. that is how it works with evry card reader I have ever used.
