Try unplugging both the router and the modem for 2 minutes, then plug them back in. Wait for another 2 minutes and try to reconnect to your wireless network. This usually resolves the problem 99% of the time. While you wait check all the connections to your router and modem.

The moderm could be bad or you do not have the correct driver for this moderm. removed the moderm, and uninstall the software driver and do it over. if it does not work try replacing the moderm with another kind. This might work.make sure you go to start, control panel, hardware device and look for your moderm and there should not be an exclimation mark in front of your modem, if it is, right click your mouse while high lighting your modem, and uninstalled it. Restart you pc and do the process over. Good luck

A fax modem cannot be wireless and cannot be broadband as you cannot fax using a broadband connection.
Assuming you have a broadband connection you will need a wireless modem/ router or roter connected to a broadband modem, not a standard 56k dialup modem as they aren't wireless or broadband.
