Question about Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera
When I try to turn the camera on, the e18 comes on the screen. The shutter won't close, the camera won't stay on. I've changed batteries, removed the card. Gettin ready for a trip, and can't go buy a new camera...Please HELP!
This is a common error message for many Canon camera models. It is most often caused by the lens getting stuck by either damage to the lens mechanism, or something got stuck in the lens (i.e. sand). One thing you could try is blowing compressed air into the side of the lens to try and dislodge whatever is stuck in the lens mechanism. If this doesn't work I would have it looked at by an authorized service technician. I hope this helps!
