Error 3010 is a type of system error with multiple potential software or hardware causes. it could probably cause by the software you recently installed, download a registry cleaner or registry fix software and run through all your programs, you might need to uninstall and install your bookkeper once again.

Why won't my calculator power up? It worked fine Friday but I came in Monday to find it dead. No one else uses it...

A guess: the lamp was off, so did not experience the power surge, but the calculator was on and the power supply was fried. It might just be a blown fuse in the power supply, so one could open the case (voiding any warranty ;-) and look for a soldered-in fuse.

I have just installed BOOKKEEPER 2008. An error window keeps coming up Error # 3010 I need to get this fixed as quickly as possible. Thanks, Deb

It looks like a file has been corrupted during the installation process.
Download and install CCleaner from www.ccleaner.com
Uninstall BookKeeper and then use the registry cleaning tool in CCleaner to clean up the registry of your computer.
Re-install BookKeeper and make sure no other programs are running on your computer during the installation.

Connection to update server failed, error code 12152 for Bookkeeper updates

A lot of people seem to have had major problems trying to upgrade for this software. Some have spent many hours waiting on the phone, and decided to move to different software.
"Dog Lover" offers this guidance:
If you are updating your software follow carefully (1) first back up your database and email to yourself (2) wipe bookkeeper completely off your computer (3) download the newer software and install the tax tables (4) finish updating (because it downloads to a newer software version within 2011) the program. When everything is updated, (5) save your database to your desktop (6) open bookkeeper and restore your database. Then make another update with the upgraded database.
Lets hope it is still true for 2013/14

I can not do anything here with bookkeeper. I lost my bookkeeper Install CD and I'm afraid to us it again. What if a problem comes about and I need to reinstall? I cannot. What to do? It will not...

You will have to replace the lost CD to reinstall the software again. Since which version of Bookkeeper is not told in the question it is anyone's guess. If you purchased this email or call customer support at their web site and order a new one it should not be a problem getting one. Or if you can post what exactly the software is so maybe someone can possibly share a disc with you or know where to find it for you. Thanks for using FixYa! John

I just got the E 74 error message on our X box 360

The E74 error indicates there is a hardware problem with your Xbox.

Microsoft's warranty will cover the repair cost for this type of error message2.gif for 1 year from the date you first purchased your Xbox.

If your console is out of warranty, you can go to www.xbox.com , login using your Windows Live ID by clicking the sign in link in the upper right hand side of the screen.

Next, Click on the "Support" link then again on "Hardware" under Select Your Support Category.

Scroll down toward the bottom of the page until you see "Console Management" on the left hand side of the screen. From this point, you can register your Xbox if it hasn't already been registered or submit a repair order.

If you submit a repair order and your console is out of warranty, the repair cost will be $99.00 otherwise it is free.

You other option is to call Microsoft2.gif at 1 800 469 9269 and say the word "Agent" when the recording starts. If you choose this method and your console is out of warranty, the repair cost will be $120.00

Bookkeeper 2009 running very slowly.

Interesting. It may be that software is using more memory; when your computer runs out of memory, it starts using your hard drive for temporary (memory) use, which is painfully slow. You haven't said anything about your computer. (e.g., is this XP with 512mb or less? Vista with 1gb or less?)

A suggestion, if I may: Before worrying about your hardware, just make sure your software is up to date. This support note here tells you how to make sure you've got the latest patches to that software. It's on a different topic, but the advice is right.

I am trying to move my Bookkeeper program to a new Vista Computer. I am getting a message that I am trying to run an older version of Bookkeeper with newer pogram. My old computer is XP and the new one...

Most programs written for Windows XP also work in this version of Windows, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. If an older program doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard to simulate the behavior of earlier versions of Windows.
• Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button getopencontent.aspx?assetid=4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33&documentset=en-us&renderkey=xml, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows.
NoteTo find out if your programs (or programs you plan to buy) are compatible with Windows Vista, go online to the Windows Vista Compatibility Center. This website contains a comprehensive list of programs, computers, and devices that have been tested to work with Windows Vista.
