My nokia n97 all of a sudden wont send text messages - it stores them in outbox to be sent later but that never happens. why all of a sudden is this happening?

go to message settings->text mesage->message sent via->see if it is text or not if not make it and try...

Remove your SIM card and try it on other hand-set or mobile and see whether it happen again or not?
If it work on other hand-set or mobile then reset (restore factories) from your hand-set.

ok do this
insert another sim into your cell phone
then send any text msg
if it send then again insert your SIM it will work.

It depends on the netwrk you're using.. Some when they enable reply by same centre we can't send it if we go to reply mode.. Bt able if started in new msg.. Dats wat i came accross.. Hope it help

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ...

This is because when you send the message it stores up in outbox and then only it wil be sent,As your phone memory is full no space is there for storing in the outbox. So please delete the inbox and draft and savedmessages so that you will not get this message again.

Same thing is happening to me in same way and no solution found yet.

outbox doesn't mean that it's sent if it was sent it would be in "sentbox"

I have just had this problem, i read from an internet page about this problem, i turned off my phone and took out the battery. After i turned it on all outbox messages sent and it sends fine :D
