Cant switch pone on. just bought it. brand new. bin charging foe bout an hour, but not getting any life out of the pone only a one second vibration. plse help its my birthday present for tomorrow

I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me. I had the same problem, with phone not holding charge and getting really hot both during and after complete charge. I needed my memorycard from my LG to my other phone, so I took it out, and off course the phone needed to be charged so I charged it, and... it did not get hot at all, and when it was finished, the charge lasted a day and a half!! Now the problem is I cant use the memorycard anymore in my Viewty :S Win/Loose situation i guess....
this problem can be caused by many factors. Use of the phone can drain battery life for example if you use the phone for browsing the web or as an mp3 player, even to make or recieve calls the battery life will not be as long as it would if just on standby. also if the battery hasn't been conditioned or is being over charged this can also lead to short battery life.To resolve the problem try conditioning th battery, basically let the charge drain completely out of the phone until the phone actually switches off, then charge the phone for 24 hours. Next time the battery goes ded only charge for the recommended charging time (this info can be found either in your phone user guide or by contacting the customer service department of your network provider).
to improve the battery life always charge it with switch of the mobile>and do not charge if u got 1 or 2 poing loss>and dont play games >and maximum do not use the vibration>and always use low bright ness>and and always chanrge only one hour if still the same make sure teh battery is original
