Wenever i turn laptop on i cant get past password as bought it of a friend of a friend and cant get hold of him now so need to unblock it so can use for work.id be very grateful if u could help me out

Hold f2 on start up until it boots in to bios failing that do the same but this time hold f8 but hold down this key just touching it wont work.

No need for previous password,you should reset the bios battery and set new password.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.


The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.

Basically, for most of the notebooks, there is a Password provided to secure the data in the Hard Drive and restrict it from un-authorize access.
However, if the Drive Lock Password is set and forgot, it is not possible to unlock the Drive without the password.
However, you can try contacting any of your Friends who is familier with Hard Drives and is a technician who should be having some advanced methods to remove the Password or the Circuit Board of the Hard Drive.
