Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Not printing We just purchessed this printer last year with a new computer. It has started to making a noise when it is turned on and when you hit start to make a copy it makes the noise as if it is printing but it does not print. I do not think the light is moving, it seems to be stuck in one area. However I did get a copy of the Diagnostic Sheet which shows 5 errors. Error Code 3501 Error Code 6203 Error Code 6203 Error Code 3501 Error Code 3501 I don't know if this is helpful in your trouble shooting. I 'm not sure where I go from here.     When I try to make a copy it is making this grinding noise. Then the error code 6203 shows up. It prints pictures just fine. I'm not sure what this code means.

    my printer is not working, it only says it's printing onthe control pannel, but not at all doing so, also when copying, it'll do it but very very light

    I can definately help you with this issue but I just need a tiny bit more information.




    1. What are the dates from the Diagnostic sheet?

    2. Do copies come out ok or are they black, or just blank?

    3. What is the noise like, beep or grinding or something else?

    4. When you do a scan, open the lid and watch the light. Does the light move or does it stay like you thought originally?

Try to press and hold the copy and cancel button at the same time. It should take up a pice of paper and spit it out blank. then try to print again. if problems persist call the 1 800 235 6325 kodak support hotline

Do you have a CD to install this printer? if you do go into MY COMPUTER where you can erase things and erase the printer and its system then shut computer off and restart then reinstall the printer using your CD to reinstall it. Some times you have to delete things and reinstall them to work.

Take your sales from last year, multiply by 6 and then divide by 100. That is the amount you will increase. Add it to last years sales.

My Epson WF-3640 is printing with gaps in the text. How do I fix this issue?


Make sure you should remove shipping tape from the ink cartridge. These taps are used to protect printer during shipping but you have to remove it before starting printing. Beacuse these taps prevent the ink to entering in print head. If you will not found shipping tape in your printer then there is terr off strip, remove it. The tear off strip seals the the vent holes on the top of the cartridge to prevent it from drying out on the shelf or during shipping.
After ensuring that the shipping tape has been removed, run the printer's "Head Cleaning" utility to prime the cartridge, then print a test page.

Prinnter not printing but showing 'put custom in manual tray'


There is still a print job in the queue. Place a sheet so it prints or kill the job.


Open Printers and Faxes. Open printer. Highlight jobs and Right click > Cancel, or Documents > Cancel.
For those stubborn jobs, Right click My Computer > Manage. Choose Services and Applications > Services > Print Spooler. Right click and stop. Then start. This may have to be done from the Print Server if it's network printer. Contact IT to kill.

Laser printer makes light clicking noise when idle


When idle is potentially the fuser unit, after heating and cooling. However the print quality issue associated with the clicking sound could indicate an electrical issue. The HVPS maybe faulty causing the print quality issue (due to dependant parts) and the electrical click. In any case I would recommend calling Brother and finding the nearest authorised service agent.

Okidata Microline 30 Turbo dot matrix


The problem your having is a spacer motor. It's located under the carriage that holds the ribbon/printhead. The part number is 56513701. Available at Seattle Platen - Dale 1800-221-2388.

Printer won't recognize cartridge


I had the same problem. I'm not sure but I think I replaced the cartridges when the printer was on because I turned the printer off and removed one of the cartridges. When I turned the printer back on it recognized that cartridge but not the others. I turned the printer off again, rmoved all cartiridges and put them back in when the printer was still off. When I turned the printer on again I had no problems. So...try turning off the printer, rmove all cartridges, then put them back in and restart printer. Hope this works for you .
