If the microwave oven is 7 years old or less the most likely problem is the magnetron, or the inverter board, cost consideration should be carefully thought out.
The main fuse in the microwave is probably open, causes are! door switch, magnetron, inverter board, "if 7 years old or less" and possibly the keypad control board. I recommend having it checked out.
Check fuses or count yourself lucky that you got 25 years out of anything. Buy a new one...there relatively cheap and work more efficiently. This old one probably leaks radiation anyway.
