Seriously, I am ready to throw this printer out the window. I have a macbook, and don't even care anymore about the wireless function of the printer. It's an HP cm1312nfi. I have a phone line with two jacks on either end, and just want to plug my macbook in and make the thing print. I've plugged the phone line into my mac book and into each outlet on the printer, and in each outlet, it still says "offline" what do i do? Thank you.

Hi

First you have to install the printer driver compatible with MAC OS, then you can set up this printer by going to control panel and choose printer and faxes, just add new printer. The best way to connect a printer to your computer is by using a USB cable not a telephone cord line (not compatible). Once you finish set up the printer, run the test page and your problem would be solve.

Google com

1) Go to printers and scanners
2) clixk on the + sign in the left corner
3) a new window appears. There should your wireless printer appear ( Bonjour)
4) add your wireless printer

If you the printer does not appear then there might be something wrong with the Macbook or the wireless printer or / and the network.

Go to app store and download IP Scanner for free
This utility gives information about wireless devices in your environment.
If the printer pops up then try to connect to the printer in Safari by using the IP address. If this does not work then try another computer and verify the settings of your Macbook.

How do I connect wireless my MACBOOK & HP PHOTOSMART C4480

You need to connect your printer to a wireless router in your home/office. Once it's connected successfully, you then run the HP software on your computer and it will ask you how you want to connect to your printer. Select the option "Wireless" and then it will search your network for the IP address of your printer and then you should be able to print wirelessly to your printer.

We have an hp officejet pro l7680 all in one printer. We recently purchased a new computer with windows 7 on it. We are aware of the lag from HP with the drivers but the basic drivers are having problems....

There is normally no lag in the release of drivers. Most of the major manufacturers have all their driver development work ready by announce date of the OS platform.

Go to the HP website and search using your printer name and model number. Search for the Win 7 Compatible drivers. If none is present it may mean that HP has decided to not support the printer on the new Win7 Operating System.

HP PSC 1315 & wireless connection

Hi,

I met this problem similar with my MU-9000VPN router (printer server, file server and video server). It has something to do with pre-installation of driver. I mean the *.inf file driver must be located; I copied the file being looked to windows system32 directory, then it installed completely. However there are some cases that we need to update the firmware of the router and even the printer to support the features and or availability of supported models with respect to operating system. Have a nice day and hope this give some hints.

Best regards,

Dell Printer A920 + macbook

The Dell printers sold right now are Lexmark printers manufactured specifically for Dell. Dell only sells Windows PCs so there are no printer drivers for the Macintosh OS. I?m surprised your Mac doesn?t at lest recognize the printers presence but even if it did there are no software drivers so it isn?t going to work. Sorry for the bad news, please don?t shoot the messenger :)
