My Asus laptops wireless capability is truned off for some reason and i dont know how to turn it back on. There is no switch for it. So i really dont know what to do. Help!

You cannot use it for your ASUS tablet, but you do not need to because your tablet has WiFi capability built in. Probably you can use that adapter only with a regular computer (where you have a CD), most likely a desktop, because all laptops have WiFi capability built in.

The first thing you should check is that your wireless card is working properly in device manager. You may need driver for it.

You may do WoL if your Lan adapter (cable or wireless) has the capability. Check DeviceAdministration/Select network card/Properties/Advanced

Most laptop keyboards have a key combination for turning on the Wireless. Normally this is the "Function Key" plus the F2 key. Hold then both down at the same time and that should turn on your Wireless. If this key combination does not work, look for a function key that has a blue tower with waves radiating out from it such as this:

I can figure out that your laptop runs Windows Vista. Go to Control panel, then Network and Sharing centre and then go to Manage Network Connections and see if the Wireless Network Connections icon is disabled, make sure it is enabled and not connected. Try disabling and enabling it again. If still no go, try to manually turn off the wireless switch and turn it back ON. Check the light status (if any), confirm the error message too. If still, it seems not to be working, then the internal switching might have gone bad. You need to get the laptop serviced.

Generally if you can see a wireless icon in your network settings, this would indicate you have wireless capability. If you think you should have wireless capability but do not see it, there is a fair chance that its turned off by either a switch on your laptop or in BIOS.

depending on laptop the wifi switch is just beneeth the screen just press till it change colour to blue then its on it will be lit red if off
