Slide back and re-dock the finisher unit. Make sure that the finisher unit and the printer are parallel to one another. Depending on your model printer the finisher probably has two metal rods that drive into the printer and have to make a connection for it to print. Make sure that both the contacts and the holes are unobstructed.
