How do I use the loud speaker on a Blackberry pearl?

Hi there

Although the Blackberry pearl does not come with a speakerphone, you can still set up this function by using a Bluetooth device.

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Power on your Blackberry using the On/Off button in the lower right-hand corner of the device

Turn on Bluetooth

Find the Bluetooth option. In the main menu, select "device options."

Enable Bluetooth radio. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see the option "Enable Bluetooth". Select this function (click the trackwheel) to turn on Bluetooth compatibility. If you have completed this step correctly, you will now see a "Bluetooth icon" on your Blackberry screen. If you want, you can later turn off Bluetooth by repeating Steps 1 to 3 and then selecting "disable Bluetooth".

Pair your Blackberry with a Bluetooth speakerphone

Power on your Bluetooth speakerphone device using its On/Off switch or button.

Find the Bluetooth option in the main menu by again selecting "device options" and then using the trackwheel to scroll down until you see Bluetooth. Select this by clicking the trackwheel.

Add your Bluetooth device. Click on the trackwheel to scroll down until you see "Add Device." Then click on the trackwheel to select this function.

Enter the name and passkey of your Bluetooth device. When prompted, scroll down with the track wheel until you see the name of your Bluetooth device. Your Blackberry automatically detect your Bluetooth speakerphone if it is within 10 meters. If it does not, enter the name of the device, then type in the passkey provided by the manufacturer of the speakerphone.

Enter the passkey on your Bluetooth speakerphone. Your Blackberry and Bluetooth speakerphone can now communicate with one another.

To use the speaker during a call all you need to do is;

Dial a number and hit the send key. Make sure that your Bluetooth speakerphone is on, and that you have already set your Blackberry to "Enable Bluetooth." If you see the "Bluetooth icon" you have already done this step.

Activate your Bluetooth device. When the call has connected, click on the trackwheel until you see the option "Bluetooth Device". Then click on the trackwheel to activate the Bluetooth function. Your Blackberry will now route your call to the Bluetooth Speakerphone.

Turn on the speakerphone. Depending on which Bluetooth Speakerphone you have purchased, you may need to click on the "speakerphone" button to enable this function. Once the speakerphone is on, you may continue with your phone call.

I have been given a speaker phone but my phone does not find it on bluetooth

Disconnect the power, wait 60 seconds and reconnect it, turning it on if it doesn't come on automatically.
It should then be discoverable for 30-90 seconds. Try pairing it from your phone during that time.

Earpiece not working after hooking it up with a bluetooth speaker

Go to Bluetooth settings and turn on Bluetooth.
The paired devices will be shown.
Delete paired device or unpair device .
This should solve the issue .

Since the mobile is paired with the Bluetooth speaker every time a call comes in the phone automatically connects to the Bluetooth speaker.

Switching off the Bluetooth speaker may also work.

The speaker volume on my blackberry bold is very low

the problem came from hardware, a poor speakerphone contact. If you press on upper part of your bold, the ring volume will be increased.
So, the workaround is to insert between batery and backcover a folded piece of paper to press the upper side of phone.

Bluetooth volume too low Go730

You are out of luck...I have the same unit and it wont even connect with my LG Voyager! the volume doesn't want to cooperate with anything I think it should do. I actually went with a wired headset to answer call once it did connect and forgot about the whole speaker thing.

Problems

Is your call volume turned up? Use the side volume buttons to make sure the speaker volume is up high.

If the volume is high and you still can't hear anything, turn on speakerphone mode. Can you hear anything then?

Can you hear the dings and boops that the treo normally makes while navigating through the menus?
