Alessi coban rs04 espresso maker

When the water holder is put onto the espresso maker the water leaks out from the top od the machine. The cause is that I need a replacement rubber seal that the water bottle sits into.
Where can I order such a thing ?

Hi. I have the same problem with the leaky washer. I have contacted both Alessi and Nespresso, neither will sell me a washer and insist that they send it back to Italy for a repair - costing about £100 - £150. I am still looking for a permanent repair. In the meantime I have wrapped ptfe tape around the water container outlet to make a temporary seal.

Please let me know if you find a washer.

Hi All,
I had the same problem. There is ONE authorised dealer for Alessi in Italy. They are Arthur Eugster Italia srl, in Asti (Piemonte). I don't have the contact number, but my friend in Italy got a complete set of seals from them, FREE OF CHARGE (don't ask me how he got it) and sent to me in Australia. Good luck

I melted the rubber seal in my 4 cup Bialetti coffee maker. I forgot to put the water in it. Now I am trying to remove the smelly melted rubber from inside the threads and and coffee holder. Please how can...

I have the same problem. Scraped most of the rubber off mine with a knife. I'm going to try steel-wool next, as the whole thing is stainless-steel (or perhaps in your case, Aluminium), it should take a good sound beating.
I wonder if there are any solvents that would dissolve the rubber?

What causes water to leak from underneath the unit?

Most often the problem is that the rubber rings are too old. The best is to open the machine, put the lid back on top, add the water container, add water. Push the espresso button, and afterwards (when the espresso is finished) open quickly the lid and check the origin of the water. I have a magic de luxe and it turned out that when i replaced the boiler, one of the high pressure tubes were damaged. Other frequently occuring problems are related to old rubber rings. the cost virtually nothing, and are easy to replace!

Our Cuisinat dcc200 leaks water all over the counter.

This is most likely a result of a defective washer stopper in the reservoir. I took mine apart by gently pulling the rubber washer over the top of the plastic loaded holder. I lightly sanded it with 220 grit paper until it was smooth and replaced it.. No leaks so far.
I cannot find the replacement washer. It appears the Cuisinart only offers the entire reservoir as a replacement part and that costs about $40 ... Thanks a lot (all for a 99 cents rubber washer.) :-(

if the water is leaking from the back left side of the unit then the seal/valve to the expresso water container is lose and leaking. you can either go the warranty route or open the back up and tighten the two screws holding the seat/valve in place.

Some leaking from the group head of the machine is totally normal while the machine is heating. The reason for this is that the valve that sits above the shower screen is simply a spring and rubber ball. The spring expands, creating a seal with the rubber ball and the boiler, once the boiler reaches a specific temperature. Until the boiler temp is reached, leaking from the group head will occur.

My senseo is leaking water more than brewing coffee

The leaking out onto the counter is coming from the reservoir. I had the same problem and was about to throw my Senseo out. Here's how to fix it.
When you put the reservoir back onto the Senseo the bottom fits into a hole that is surrounded by a rubber seal. The seal appears to be attached to the bottom side of the plastic shelf that the reservoir sits on. The problem is that the seal has pulled partly away from the plastic surface to which it is attached allowing water to leak onto the counter. Put a little glob of clear silicone sealer (like you use around glass) onto the end of your little finger and work that along the upper edge of the seal where it meets the plastic shelf. You want to be sure you go all the way around and that you squeeze the sealant into the crack between the seal and the plastic. When you're finished, wipe off any excess and make sure that the inside edge of the seal (that fits around the nozzle from the reservoir) is free of any excess silicone. Let it dry for a day and you're ready to go. I did mine and it works great now. No more leaks.

Pavoni Si - leak from above filter holder

Check your screws in the bottom of the portafilter, If they are too tight the spring mechanism inside can't do its job, adjust them and it should work. Also, don't over fill your portafilter, if you put too much coffee in then there is to much pressure and again the water will flow from the top. Hope this helps
