I've had problems since I first got it.It's made me miss a lot of nascar races.Sometimes when I set the timer it would record right.Then sometimes I would come in and everything would be shut off(tv)too.Then I'd turn everything on and it would say error in disc or tape is empty.Now I can sit right here with it,watch the record kick on,turn it of when I'm done,go to play it and it says it's empty.Please help.Can't find my manual either.

I have the same problem.

I feel your pain brother i will let you know if i figure this out i have 2 units and i might be able 2 send you a manual if i can find the other one if you want......let me know!!!! Mine used to wrk but both of them now do the same thing yours does after recording has stopped or is manually stopped................

HOWDY---CHECK THE DATE AND TIMER SETTINGS IN THE MENU-FOR A MANUAL, GO TO THE SECTION AT PROTONS SITE AND ORDER ONE---SARGE
