Can I place a 2002 Sebring LX back window in a 1999 JXI?

the dealer is not exactly correct when he states that the glass is not made any more
it may not be serviced as a spare part but as glass for cars is not made by the car manufacturer but by glass companies , I would ask a windscreen replacer company if they can get the glass and fit it for you
be careful in what you want as glass is made for specific cars, make and model and it may be that there is a change in the window opening between models that will not allow you to interchange glass

I have a RUUD Model UGPH10EBRJR. the compositor near the blower motor in the ****** is bubbling out some kind of jell substance. Do I need to change it and do I call it hte run or start compositor. wh

Hi Jerry, yes, whenever you see either end of a capacitor bulging and or leaking fluid, the capacitor is bad and needs to be replaced. It may still be operating the motor ok, but it will eventually fail and the fluid is also highly corrosive. Simply match up the proper voltage and uf to get the proper replacement. Example: 5uf 370 volt or 7.5uf 370 volt or 10uf 440 volt. The uf stands for microfarads. Hope this helps!

Door won't stay shut.freezer door fine. I've adjusted level screws, but still door comes open.

Have a look at the door gasket. It may have perished or stretched causing the door to be forced open. especially around the bottom door hinge area. If its stretched, try and pull or slide the gasket back to its proper position. try a very little smear of rubber lube grease down the gasket on the hinge side of the door, it helps the gasket slide past the door frame when you close the door.

How do you remove the oven door from a Maytag MGR 5780 range. I cannot see any latches on the hinges

There aren't any latches on the Maytag MGR5780 oven door hinges. You should be able to open the door to the first stop (about 4" from the closed position). Then grab the sides of the door and lift the door up at that same angle until the door clears both hinge arms. Manage My Life has the manual for the MGR5780 here:,-Gas-L0303326 . See page 15 (16 of the PDF) for a picture of the door open to the first stop position. You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the manual.

I hope this helps.

Just moved into this house, with a warnock hersey gas fire wh3990 removed the glass for cleaning now it won't come on .I think I disturbed the log placement ,it has a temperature control but even...

When you replaced the glass, you may have not made contact with the glass safety removal switch. In which case, other than the pilot, nothing else will work. When you cleaned the glass, I hope you didn't use a commercial glass cleaner. As they have ammonia in them and it leaves an invisible residue on the glass. When it heats up the residue will turn white and stay on the interior of the glass. If you did use a commercial glass cleaner, remove the glass (which you're going to have to do anyway) and clean it with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Then dry the glass thoroughly with paper towels.

The glass safety removal switch is generally at the bottom of the firebox opening right under the glass, In fact the glass will rest on it. Once everything is cleaned (if necessary) and reassembled. Be sure that after the pilot is lit, the gas control knob is turned to ON. If you have a wall switch that tunrs the burner ON & Off, it will now take over.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How do I get access to clean the inside of the glass on the gas fireplace?

You will need to remove any metal trim surrounding the glass. It usually just slips/pop off.
Once that is off, the wing nuts and clamps will be exposed. There will probably be quite a few. All of them will need to be removed and set aside. Depending on what type of gasket material the manufacturer used between the glass and the metal firebox, will determine how easy it will be to remove. I hope for your sake, it's a rope gasket. If not, it will have a rubberized high temp gasket material, which may require a thin blade metal putty knife. It will be used to carefully get behind the glass and the rubberized gasket to help it release from the metal around the firebox. try to keep the gasket in one piece. If you can't it will have to be replaced.

Once the glass is loose, carefully lift it up and away from the fireplace. It's best to clean it on a flat surface (counter top, kitchen table, etc) that has a couple of layers of cotton bath towels for padding.

DO NOT use a commercial glass cleaner to clean the glass. As most have ammonia in them. A 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and water works best. Use a clean sponge to wipe the glass with the vinegar and water solution. Paper towels to dry it. Use only as little pressure as need to clean the glass, as you don't want to break it. If the glass has a heavy build up on the inside part of the glass, you can use a plastic mesh scouring pad to get this off. Then wipe again with the vinegar and water solution and dry it.

After everything is cleaned and dry, reinstall the glass in reverse order of how you removed it.

I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How to remove panels from air conditioner - Delonghi PAC A120LE

Hi there,

Are you referring to the from panel of the air conditioner?

Please look for screws or hinges on the side of the fron panel and once you've found them remove the screws or gently take off the the cover from the hinge. (you may have to use a flat head screw to remove the face cover if it's locked by a clip).

Hope this helps!

I have a hunter ceiling fan 5 blade 3 light....the glass is bell shaped however doesnt stay on with the 3 set screws instead the glass has a triangle belveled end that slips in and turns being held by...

Home Depot may not, but Lowe's probably does. In addition, since it's a Hunter Fan, many of the Lighting Stores carry the glass fixtures for ceiling fans. It shouldn't be that hard to find. Just take an unbroken one with you for comparison.

I want to make a hole in a double glass window to flange cap

Hello. It is possible, but I wouldn't recomend it as it will spoil the effect of the double glazing because there is no longer a vacuum between the two sheets of glass. One way of doing it is to actually remove the glass from the window frame and cut some wood to fit the gap, then simply cut a hole in the wood and fit it in the frame, though this may look unsightly, it is an easier solution than cutting glass, and at the end of the season you can put the glass back in. Hope this helps.
