Ice Cube maker stops making cubes as they are being made ....
I have Frigidare FRS26ZNH and the ice maker starts making ice but the ice cubes are stuck/frozen in the maker itself. If I reach in and break them off they start the process off again and the cubes get frozen and stuck again. I have tried lowering the temp in the freezer part but it still gets stuck again. ANY help would be appreciated ....

Ice makers use a small heating element to release the ice from the mold tray..sounds like that isn't working and everything else is. Check to make sure all electrical connectors coming from the ice maker are properly seated into their mating connectors. If that doesn't solve your problem, you may be better serevd by just replacing the entire icemaker assembly.. Hope that helps...

The two most common things that happen: the ice piles up too high, which pushes up the bar that tells it the bin is full and stop making ice. OR the ice sticks to the ice cube maker. If the ice pile is too high, knock it down or empty the bin. If the ice is sticking to the cube maker, try melting it and then spraying it with a non stick spray. Sometimes the water supply line is clogged, but that is not usually the problem.
Your sub-zero 650 should produce about 8 cubes every 2 hours. It sounds like the heater beneath the ice maker may be wearing out. Ice makers use a heating mechanism to warm the cubes in the mold and force them to easily eject. If the heater is failing in the back slot, it could cause the ice cube to get stuck. If this is the case, you usually need to replace the part or the entire ice maker.
It is also possible the mechanism isn't properly aligned. You could try adjusting it.
Have you tried adding a bit of water to the ice mold? Is their an ice cube stuck in the ice mold? If you have an ice cube stuck in there just heat the im with a hair dryer till the cube clears and fingers go around. Listen to see if you hear water going into the mold.
If you can find someone that will take yours apart and rebuild the components inside the front of the ice maker would be good. The problem is with older ice makers you may over look the next part to fail. Your model has a tricky spring that helps the arm lock into place. I was able to solve this problem by doing the following:
1)Carefully (because there may be sharp metal blades in this area) reached into the upper left compartment of the icemaker and pressed down on ice cubes that seemed to be lodged there and were protruding slightly above the slots they should have been passing through.
2)Press down on the cubes, forcing them through the slots and into the cube container below
3)Lift the metal arm, remove and completely empty the ice cube container
4)Return the ice cube container to the freezer, making sure it is seated properly
Close the freezer and wait until the ice cube maker begins to make new ice cubes. The sound should stop in around 10-15minutes.
