If it landed on the nav key it may have broke the chipboard it sits on but it maybe just out of line try to get to the board and see if the rubber slip is out of line if it is fine you can take it to most camera shops and get it repaired

Will resetting my camera make the buttons work again? Is there a way to reset the camera without going to the menu (since the buttons don't work)?

Only the two buttons on top of the camera. It looks like you have a real problem. All buttons on the back look dead.
Reset of a camera is done every time you switch it on, so that will not bring any difference. One step up is removing the battery for a few moments, bit when the error keeps coming back, I think someone must have dropped the camera once, or some moisture came in the camera, and did something with internal connections.
When nothing helps and you did not drop the camera, check if it is still under warranty and contact a Olympus certified service centre.
DOn't send it in unless you know what it could cost. Sometimes repairs are more expensive than a new camera.

I have an sl502 camera that I bought new for my son and shortly after I bought it it stopped working. It beeps 3 times and does nothing. I am very dissatisfied as well as disappointed with this product....

Hi Jim

If the camera was bought new and is less than a year old, return to the store where you bought it and ask about warranty repair, or call the Samsung from the paperwork inside the box.

The camera sounds like it has a stuck lens, either from being dropped or maybe getting sand/dirt into the lens gears and jamming it up. There's not much you are going to be able to do with it, lenses are very delicate and complex. Some may tell you to blow compressed air into it or bang it on the table, you can do these things if you like and don't mind risking further damage to your camera.

So: Less than a year old? Warranty repair. More than a year old? Might have to pay Samsung for repair, I don't see refurbished lenses available for this model and a new lens would be about $125 or more. Hope this helps.

My canon is not turning on even my battery is fully charged.

Hi, what model is the camera? Was it exposed to water or dropped?

If it's a Canon Powershot G9, then this is a very common problem. There are screws that come loose and short out the camera. Canon will not fix it for free, though they should.

If the camera was exposed to water, it is not repairable, no one will touch it.

If the camera was dropped, it could be as simple as a cable being disconnected, or there might be damaged part that needs to be replaced.

If none of these apply, then the camera most likely has blown the fuse and needs a new fuse soldered on the mainboard. An easier way is to just replace the mainboard with a used one bought online from that auction site. I don't type their name, they don't pay me so why should i advertise for them?

Hope this helps!

Display mode will not go off

Does your camera have a viewfinder? If it does press the display button or change the display settings in your camera's menu. Also, many of the recent camera's that don;t have an optical viewfinder don't give you the option to turn off the display.

My Kodak M763 camera won't turn on, ( It is not the battery because I bought a new one)When I press the on button, It looks like is going to start, but it turns off again.

If the camera has recently been dropped you may have lens damage which is preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped, your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Dropped SD400 - buttons no longer work

Not only is a repair shop your only option, you'll probably find it will cost nearly as much to fix than to buy a more recent model.

There are three really weak spots in the SD400 and most small digital cameras: the lens mechanism, the battery door, and the built-in lens shade. Care in closing the battery door so you don't break off the little lugs that hold it shut - using a neck strap so you don't drop the camera - and making sure no sand or grit gets into the lens cap mechanism will make your next camera last a lot longer.

Dropped in water and beer bucket

The water has interfered with the circuit board in the back which controls the functions of the phone. You need to replace the phone. Since you bought it recently, i am assuming you have warranty so you should have no problems returning it. Good luck!

No picture taken when shutter release is pressed

if you see no reation of the pressing of the button i.e. no focusing, no error message nothing , then most probably a simplest problem , the shutter release button may not be working for few reasons : 1) defective switch. 2) defective flex cable. 3) camera exposed to some physical jerk or dropping resulting into disalingment between inner switch and the shutter release button.
