i am unable to send e-mail on Windows Mail with my Vista Home Premium on my new HP computer, but it eas working fine before.

Who is your ISP? If it's Comcast try change your out going port to 587. They are disabling the default port (25) and their idea of notifying people is to post it on their web site. They want you to use web mail :-)

Yes, the first step is to tell us who your internet service provider is. Then we need to check your smtp server settings. This is located under TOOLS, ACCOUNTS, MAIL, PROPERTIES, SERVERS. This is assuming you are using outlook express for your email.
