Question about Uniden Cordless Phone

GE cordless phone parts

I moved to Spain with my 900MHZ cordless phone and lost the power cord.

The model is 2-6920A. Are powercords still available? I also need a replacement battery which I have found online.

Cna I order both the power cord and battery from you?

Sorry to tell you, but I had the same problem with my phone except my power cord wouldn't work. This was 2 weeks ago and I still can't find a replacement. I don't know if you have a radioshack in Spain, but that's probably the only place you'll be able to find it. That's where I'm going to look.

You can buy an adjustable voltage adapter. They have voltage from 3 to 12V. Get an AC/DC adapter. Start with the lowest because if you get too high a voltage, it can fry the phone base. These come with several plug adapters included too, so you can find the one that fits on your phone. These adjusters you can find just about anywhere. Go to a Radioshack or other electronics store (if they have them in Spain) or see if you can order them on line.

Also, these cord adapters have two prongs (not the one that goes into the wall). If there's no power going to the phone the prongs should be reversed. You're going to have to trouble-shoot these. Just keep trying different voltages until it works.

You can't order these from me because I'm not a retailer. I'm just a regular person. I wish I could help you in that department, but I can't.

I went to Radioshack and the person there was able to help me figure this out. I did exactly what I just told you (except I knew what voltage I needed).

I hope this helps you. Good luck!

Since You do do not give the phone model number I can only give you the link to the Uniden webpage where you can find links to all UNIDEN Cordless phones (900MHz, 2.4GHz, and 5.8GHz).

The DECT6.0 models are on another page: Click the downpointing arrow near the top of page to unfold the list of available products.

I have a GE cord and cordless speaker model: 26955-GE 900mhz phone which i have had for eight year and I would like to add another cordless phone which GE phone is compatible to what I'm currently using....

If you mean you'd like to add another handset to the base unit on this phone, I'm afraid you can't. This isn't a multi-handset phone and isn't expandable. If you want the kind of system that has the main base unit and several separate handsets, you'll have to start fresh with a new system. They aren't expensive.

Wifi interference??

The short answer is that it could interfere with the wi-fi, but your wi-fi should not interfere with your phone because it uses WDECT, "wide-band digitally enhanced cordless telecommunications" engineering. No matter how tight the bandwidth is on any RF transmission, power, proximity, and harmonics all play a roll. Ideally we want the power from our transmission to occupy the target frequency but the reality in RF is that this is nearly impossible without DSP filters. I have pasted some extra info below to help answer this question.

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications
(DECT), known as Digital European Cordless Telephone[1] until 1995, is an ETSI standard for digital portable phones (cordless home telephones), commonly used for domestic or corporate purposes. It is recognised by the ITU as fulfilling the IMT-2000 requirements and thus qualifies as a 3G system.

The four most common frequencies today are 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz and DECT 6.0:

900 MHz Currentlythe most common frequency for cordless phones, 900MHz phones may offera greater range than other frequencies. However, the 900MHz spectrum iscluttered and may result in interference with baby monitors and other900MHz cordless phones. Radio scanners can also easily pick up thisband. 2.4 GHz 2.4GHzphones offer better clarity and security than 900MHz, but mayexperience some interference with microwave ovens and wirelessnetworking (wi-fi) products. 5.8 GHz Themost advanced cordless phones available, 5.8GHz phones transmit on anew, open frequency and have the least chance for interference. Theywill not interfere with wireless networking (wi-fi) products. DECT 6.0 DECT6.0 operates on the 1.9GHz frequency. Though newly approved in the US,this frequency has been used for many years in Europe and can increasecall clarity and security. The wi-fi friendly DECT technology easilyintegrates into homes with wi-fi and internet services because the1.9GHz frequency is exclusive to DECT, making it interference free forcordless communications.

Cordless phone 25881

Sounds like a power problem.
This model of phone will work as a regular corded phone when no ac power is available.
IE the cordless function is only available when you have electricity.
- is the ac adapter plugged into a working outlet.
- is the ac adapter working.
- is the ac adapter pluged into the base.

hope this helps
