Has anyone got one of these to work successfully with Windows 98. The camera
starts off OK but as soon as you take it out of the base to take a film the
computer freezes. I have no problem with Windows XP. I have downloaded all
the updates for Windows 98 on my computer and I have tried their help line
but I can't sort it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't offer practical help, sorry, but I can confirm that I've seen
these working without problems on a number of Win98 machines in a
variety of schools.

network running 98. In the end we opted for a series of local installations
and all has worked well since then.

I am the IT Technician for 5 primary school and at one school we have
6 digital blue cameras. Now I have never used them with windows 98,
only windows 2000 and windows xp and I must say I have the same
problem with Windows 2000, I think there is a bug in the drivers for
any windows except XP its not too big a problem because if the user
has saved their work they can shut down the software, remove the
camera, take footage and then plug it back in and start the software
up again. It's a shame but it is definitely a bug in the driver. See
if digital blue have a website with updated 9x and 2000 drivers.
