To locate the batteries, all you need to do is follow the large red cable from either the starter motor or the battery switch. In both cases they will lead you to the battery.

I have been in the boating business for a long time and never heard of a manufacturer named Balt. To verify who built your boat, look for the Hull Identification Number. It is a 12 digit combination of letters and numbers located on the transom, or back of the boat. All boats built since 1973 are required to have this number. Once you have the HIN go to this link:

At this website you can enter the HIN and find the name and address of the manufacturer.

Do you have a Lowrance GPS system with an external GPS antenna?
if so this is your culprit if your system is a bit older and has a separate power lead for the antenna. The antenna power cable needs a simple on/off toggle switch to turn off the power so it doesn't constantly drain your battery.
Beyond that you may need a master power switch that shuts off power to all your electronics.

Hi Tom!

I believe I'd start troubleshooting with the power supply. Disconnect and clean the cable ends with Fluid Film (I swear by this stuff) Check the crimps and make sure they're not loose. Pay special attention to the ground connection.

With your temp not reading correctly in addition to your depth rolling, this usually indicates a common fault. (Usually ground.)

Check the data cable and socket on the control head for corrosion (again, Fluid Film is your friend) If that doesn't fix your problem, then a "hard boot" or reset of your system might solve the problem(s).

Hope this helps you out.
Good Luck!

What battery (6V or 9V) do I use for my Bottom Line fishfinde

Normally more fish finders operate on 12VDC. The red is normally positive and black negative. As far as the wiring goes. I have never heard of this brand before but I would search around before hooking up the wires. Sometimes the colors are different than you think.

I need to locate the fuse box on a 2000, Rinker Captiva 212, I think my fuse to my stereo is blown.

It will either be underneath the dash or if there is a cabin then look in cabin towards dash. There will be an access panel or piece of buttoned leather that can be removed to expose all of the wiring and it will all lead to the fuse box.

Heart Freedom invertor 25/12 - cannot get invertor to function

Batteries could be too low, or unit could think batteries are too low because it is not set up for your battery configuration. (voltage, amperage, deep cycle, wet, gel, agm etc.)

I am not sure how you set up that model but the manual should explain it. If you don't have one you can get it online from xantrex.
