Sorry, more specific instructions below...

Dusting: No matter how clean the rollers are if dust gets under the fuser it will burn, stink, and coat the rollers with black specs which will mar your copies. First remove all the panels and blow the thing out with compressed air. Where you have complex gear assemblies with no contact in or around paper a quick spray with WD-40 is good too.

  • The toner cartridge: Next remove from the toner from the printer and clean by moving a cloth or cotton swab from left to right across the glassy surface while turning the gear on the side manually.
  • The rollers: Next you need a product called rubber renew or something similar. Use it sparingly, it actually eats away at the rubber but also softens it and in small amounts will clean and make the rubber tacky again. This will stop slipping and jamming in most cases.
  • Run it out: Once you've cleaned everything either run the cleaning utility, or in the absence of that run a large wordy print job. This will pickup any remaining dust on the paper. If you have clean printing, great. If not repeat these steps a couple times.
If none of this works, you may have too much scoring on the fuser or cartridge to fix it. The toner cartridge is easy to replace, but the fuser is much harder and you will more then likely need the users manual to do it.

Printer brother DCP330 Problem paper jamming

You may encounter a paper jam while working with your Brother printer. You need to be cautious while feeding the paper to your printer. Paper jams are often obvious, but you might come across a situation when you do not get any indication that the paper has jammed up the printer. In such cases, you need to open your printer and visually inspect it to search for the jammed paper. If the rollers of your printer are leaving marks on the printouts, then there is a need to clean them. Using chemical cleaners such as benzine, thinner, or alcohol to clean the rollers might prove hazardous to your printer.

My laserjet 1020 develops a paper jam after printing the first page of a multipage print instruction .I have deleted the printer and re-installed it including all drivers but problem still...

Hi,
Reinstalling the printer is related the Software.
If the paper gets physically jammed than its the driver setting issue or hardware issue.
Check if two sheets get jammed or only one sheet.
If it is two sheets than printer is picking up multiple sheets and paper gets jammed.
If the printer is jamming a single sheet than remove the Tray and look there is rubber roller inside if there are marks or lines on that rubber roller or if the roller roller is worn out than that rubber roller called as paper pickup roller need to be replaced.
If that looks fine than try to priny using manual feed and if the problem persists from manual feed too than try another toner cartridge
If the problem is not from Manual feed Tray that Replace the main Tray with known good Tray and check if the issue resolved.

Hp2200D Won't print - "jam" light comes on - but no jam

Have you cleaned the feed roller? If it's dirty it'll spin but won't pick up any paper. Look at the paper after a "jam." Can you see any black roller marks on it? That's a sure sign of a dirty roller. If you suspect a dirty roller, clean it with a little alcohol on a cloth.

Jamming, roller lines and loud fan

You'll want to purchase the service manual for this printer if you do not already have one. Obviously the fan is the most annoying problem. But the jamming, the roller marks, and other issues would indicate that the entire printer is probably needing to be cleaned out and that the rollers may even need to be reconditioned or replaced.

Sounds like the pickup roller is worn or dirty. Try cleaning the pick up roller for the tray. If this doesn't work the pick up roller will need to be replaced.
