Is it possible that the camera driver is loading properly
and you are seeing another AVC subunit on the camera
(possibly for still image support) that doesn't have a
driver loaded?
On their website there is a vague reference to storage
driver support on MacOS, which makes me think that this
device might have an extra AVC Subunit which would require
3rd party drivers. Lack of these drivers should not
prevent normal DV Tape Mode operation of this device in
WinXP or earlier releases of Windows (Win98SE and above).
**The storage driver is also compatible with Mac OS
10.0/10.1

To verify if your camera is enumerated in VCR or Tape mode:
Right click "My Computer"
Click "Manage"
Click "Device Manager" in the left window pane
*Look for "Imaging Devices" in the right window pane. This
is where the DV camera will be listed (in either VCR or
Camera mode) if it is enumerated properly.
If any other Subunits show up besides the one above, then
they are likely associated with some addition feature of
the device (Still image, storage, Tuner etc) which will
require drivers from the HW vendor. Standard DV camera
functionality should not be affected by lack of drivers
for these addition subunits.
