If so, then no that's not too fast to go online. That is a common high speed, and you won't find many much higher for residential internet.

You should be fine for online and if you experience issues, especially with Call of Duty, it's usually the games server. You may also be in a difficult location to connect you to host in online games,. As well if you have tampered with the DNS on your Xbox this could also be a major problem for why online isn't working.

If you can't update gold, and you're a silver user I would suggest making the transaction over the computer or purchasing the Gold card from the store. If you do choose to do it on the xbox follow these steps, but first I would recommend to go to xbox.com/support

1. Go to Xbox Home and sign in
2. Go to the last panel on the very right
3. Select Account
4. Go to Your Membership
5. Select Xbox Live Free
6. Select Modify Membership to complete the transaction online or Redeem Code if you purchased one from a store
7. If you selected Modify Membership, Choose your subscription > Xbox Live Gold
8. Select your Membership
9, Provide your payment option and confirm purchase

This means you don't have xbox live gold membership , you will need xbox live gold membership in order to play online

or if you have any free xbox live trials like 48 hours or 14 day , use it you can access online features in those limited time

Those features that you cant use are the access. Go to anything that requires xbox live in the main menu and press it. It should then give you a option to connect to xbox live. then you simply follow the on screen instructions and its done!

ok , all xbox codes r region coded and the only reason it wouldnt go in is if it was from an other region such as america ur any were outside europe ,ring xbox customer suport , they will tell u what region its from, an other reson could be when u set up your xbox live acount did u put in the right country it is very easy 2 miss it , i died it on my first xbox acccount and the only way 2 change it is 2 make a brand new account cause it cant be changed. 2 check just hit the middle button on your controller and then go 2 manage account , then contact infermation, put yur email and password in and it will then tell u what country u have .

If you met him online then he has to get gold. you get 1 month free when you sign up a new membership. if you actually know him then he could play on your xbox as a guest.

Just add a new Credit card and make it your default in account management of XBOX live. :)
