How to replace belt on Hoover Wind tunnel vacuum
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. All you would need to do is to remove the bottom plate by screws, clips or levers and that will get @ the belt(s) – some Hoover WindTunnels have one and the self propelled models have 2 – you can cut off the belts or slide them off and 1st you need to hook the larger belt onto the brushroll & if you have 2 belts hoof both onto the brushroll pulley and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a hook on the end and pull or stretch the belt(s) onto the motor pulley and then track the belts in a straight line and replace the bottom plate and then start up your vacuum. The recommended belt change for a vacuum is every 4 to 6 months for the best cleaning. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
