the only way to find out what going on is to get out a volt meter and see if your door speakers are getting power, that will tell you what wrong. No power...amp is problem. Power but no sound...speakers are the prob. Good luck

Cd disc will not a solition?

If the radio is functioning, then power is getting to the unit. If power is not getting to the unit, check the fuses. If power is getting to the unit, try pulling the fuse and leaving it out for about 10 minutes. This may reset the radio and allow you to get the CD out. After you do get it out. Think about cleaning the unit or getting a new one.

Installing a ptid-8960 power acoustik into my new 2011 mazda 3 what wires should connect or can i even install it without getting the wire harness adapter to make it like the same connections not quite...

You absolutely should use a wire harness for this installation. Not using one would require you to clip the wires to factory radio connector, making re-installation of the factory stereo nearly impossible. Even worse, you would have to wire the connector that came with your PTID-8960 deck to the clipped ends. This task would be nearly impossible, as the factory wiring is too short to extend out of the dashboard where you can work with it easily.

Save yourself the trouble.

I tried finding the exact item you will need, but it seems the Mazda 3 comes with stereo options that could affect which wire harness you'd require.

Here is a link to Crutchfield:

You can use their site to select your car and installed options, and they will return products compatible with your vehicle.

Not getting power when ignition is on and what is the rem imput for

the rem input (probably a blue wire) is what tells your amp to come on. the power supply is the red wire, that means that the amp is powered. it is not 'on' until the remote (rem) wire is powered. It acts like a power button or switch that is controlled by your unit. there are ways around conventional wiring if you have trouble getting your unit out.

Two weeks ago radio would not turn on -- started working and today will not shut off even with car engine off and keys pulled will this drain my battery how will i get to work in am

If you cannot check the wiring behind the radio, then pull the "radio" fuse to turn off the power. The radio's accessory power wire is getting constant power. It should only get power with the key on.

How can i connect an mp3 player on my Power Acoustik PTID-4007

Expandability Options:
  • 3 sets of preamp outputs (front, rear and subwoofer)
  • Telephone Mute trigger wire for Bluetooth adaptation
  • iPod Ready: IC-1 iPod Connection Cable Required and Sold Separately
  • Front-panel auxiliary input: Mini USB input and SD Card slot
  • Rear auxiliary input: 1 back-up camera input and 1 A/V input
  • 1 Video output
The aux rear a/v input should do the trick.
If it is a component (RCA) type input, you will need a Male 3.5mm to dual Male RCA adapter.
If it is a 3.5mm input, a Male 3.5mm on each end.

I believe you will need the Dual RCA (red/wht) to 3.5mm cable.
The Audio inputs are purple RCAs on the back of your head unit.
