Hello my probel is ny ps2 console slim editon,, its spinning slowly and not read,., plzz help

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to get a can of air spray and spray the inside. It is easy to get dust on the eye and in between the parts that turn the disc. If this doesn't work, you will need to take it apart and determine a cause then. You could have a loose wire, damaged part, or bad eye lens. When you spray it, spray at a distance. You don't want to get moisture inside the console.

My PSP won't read any disk. It just repeatably scans until it times out. Doesn't matter what disk I use.

Hello,

It simply means the laser/lens inside it is bad and need to be replaced. You can get a local console repairman fix this for you or you can take it to the dealer if it is still under warranty.

To fix this is quite strenuous and requires the touches of an expert if not some other components might get damaged inside the unit.

Take care

My 'home' button on my PSP is no longer working to press. I wish to know if it is repairable or not.

I have fixed many types of cell phone and computers and the process is fairly similar. Does the button still feel as if it would function properly when you click it, yet nothing happens on the screen? Or does the button itself not feel like it is clicking down correctly? If you can feel a difference, it is most likely repairable by replacing the button itself or the metal contact surface on the board which the button touches. If you cannot feel a difference, it is possible that there is a short somewhere or that some kind of liquid managed to make its way inside your PSP. This is often only repairable by replacing whatever section of board (if not the whole motherboard) was damaged. Good luck!

Video games stuck inside and wont come out but was working just fine before this

Hi,, here's the solution. Remember that you must NEVER force the disk out by using hard objects/screw driver/plier or anything to pull the drive out. This will wreck the PS3 and its drive.

• Turn off your PS3 from back (the main off button)

• Put your finger on the eject button and once you do, push the switch at the back to switch the PS3 on, and then push the eject button. Hold it like this for fifteen to thirty seconds, or until the drive is forced open.

• The disc should come out now.

Thanks and take care

I accidently dropped it in the washing while in my pocket and now screen turns blcak and does not work. How do i fix it?

Hello :

This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras . Maybe it works with your Nintendo .. You can give it a try .

This will sounds crazy but you can try it .

Remove the cover and battery DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, . This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). I know this sounds crazy, but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 12 hours, but I would wait 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

Beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, your Nintendo hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

good luck .

rate please !

How to fix psp water damage?

I just have found those advices for you . they are for cell phones but they must work with your PSP.

1:Remove the battery immediately. This reduces the risk of a short circuit. Place the battery in a windowsill inside or outside. Do not put it near a heat source.

2:
Dry your phone with an absorbent cloth.

3:
Remove all the screws from your phone.

4:
Carefully pry your faceplate off your phone with the flat edge and remove the rubber number pad.

5:
Dry the inside of your phone with a cotton swab to be sure you get all the liquid from the crevices.

6:
Dry your phone with a blow dryer on medium at a distance of 3-5 inches for approximately ninety minutes.

7:
Shake your phone just to be sure there is no water remaining.

8:
Replace rubber number pad and faceplate on your phone.

9:
Replace all screws.

10:
Replace the battery in your phone. If possible, you may want to buy a new a battery to ensure against acid leakage.

or try this advice :

This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and digital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

My son has put two discs in ps3 and cant get either out now

I researched this problem since my twin 2 1/2 year old sons decided that my PS3 was hungry and needed a steady diet of 3 discs all at once. On a similar discussion board, someone discussed using butter knives to pinch the discs (one on top and one on bottom) and pull them out. This worked to perfection! Just be sure to pull the power cable from the back of your PS3 prior to sticking any objects (i.e. metal knives) into the front of it.

My ds isn't reading the edge card all of a sudden. Other games work fine, just the edge. I'm thinking it might be water damage from a humid room or a spilt drink that I wasn't aware of. Any help?
