Some file types are not supported and some files that are supported may have some data inside of it that is not supported
the only thing to do is to download a different one or convert the file format

My ps3 says that the hard disk file is corrupt please tell me what to do

You can always do a factory reset on the unit. In order to do this, turn off the machine. When you turn it back on keep holding the power button down for about 30 seconds while it turns on. It will beep once right away (within 3 or 4 seconds when it resets the video display output) continue to hold the power button down until you have heard 3 beeps. This should reset the unit to factory settings and should come up with a prompt to reformat the hard drive. The downside is that you will lose all files you have saved on your machine.

Hard Disk is corrupted, would rather not reformat.

This is to do a factory hard reset on PS 3 all files and systems settings will be deleted and restored back to factory this should hopefully solve your hard drive a problem. depending on the system reformat clould take 3 1/2 hours do a full format as to clear
Faulty memory

1. Power Off the PS3 via the power switch in back and power back on w/switch.

2. Hold Power Button on the Front until you hear 3 beeps.

3. Then go through the initial setup and then run a full Format via System > Format.. You may need to have our AV cables ready if your using HDMI (in case HDMI isn’t detected after initial reset)

My PS3's hard disk file system is corrupted

This is happening because your console is not recognizing the HDD (hard drive) for what ever reason. The corrupted files are about to do damage to your console, and a PS3 will not turn on if it thinks further damage will occur. Here are two things you can do;
1. Try accessing the HDD reset menu. Here's how you do this: With a solid red light showing, hold down both the power & eject buttons. You're going to hear a single beep, then a double beep. Once you hear the double beep, release both buttons. You'll get a message on your TV saying "connect your controller using USB". Following all the instructions will lead you to a 6 item menu. You are going to choose number 3. If that option doesn't work, pick number 6. BE WARNED!!! Number 6 will delete ALL of your saved memory! I know that really sucks, but this may be the only way to save your console short of repair. You can "back-up" your saved data using a "USB storage device" Like a memory stick or even your iPod.
If none of this works, or the console just won't let you do the "double button" thing, it'll need to be repaired. You can contact PSR repairs at www.psr1.com. They are really great! They do both warranty & non-warranty repair work for a very decent price. I hope I helped. Good luck, Indra!

Will not play PS3 Games, HD File System corrupted, won't restore

If you aren't wiling to pay the servicing fee becasuse you've had it over a year or you didn't keep your reciept, then go ahead and either buy a new one, or go to xbox. issues like this happen with any kind of machinery that uses a disc drive.
