Question about Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Bosch WFMC3200UC My Bosch clothes washer does not rotate. We start the cycle, the door locks and water fills into the tub, but then there is no rotation that occurs. It just sits there.

Same problem , have run though service program and unit fails on motor test. Motor ohms out, voltage input correct from control panel problem points to motor control bd trying to locate part or find out if Bosch has a repair service or a 3rd party repair service.

I have the same problem with my bosch WFMC3200UC   I think the C stands for ****  It starts fills then drains or just sits there and the door will open but the lock light is on.

Same machine, same problem. The service man from the place I bought it at came out and replaced the lock. Worked 3 out of 4 times after that and now just starts for a few moments, drains, and then stops with no time decrease; still 1:00 on clock.

This is not an impressive machine for dependability for as new as it is; 2 yrs 6 months.

I'm having a hard time understanding what is happening with my Bosch. Mine is filling and then immediately emptying out. Then the door unlocks but the timer indicates 45 minutes left (or so) and the door lock light is still on. Usually the only cycle that spins now is the spin cycle, but this doesn't help me get the soap out of the clothes still in the drum.

When the machine fills but doesn't rotate, the water level seems low as well. I had a repair man out who thought it might be the door latch sensor needing replacing (honestly, my toddler was pushing that button repeatedly), but I don't think that's it.

What does work: I unplug it for a while. Then if I'm lucky and the laundry Gods are shining down on me, I can wash normally (usually I'm luckier on Permanent Press but I always used to use the Cotton side). However, once I turn the machine "off," that's it all the problems persist so I have to wash it all, one load after another.

Hi David if the timer is not cycling the tub will not drain ,the washer will not complete cycles, second check the lock switch on the door. this can stop the timer and the tub from draining. when not cycling the timer is at fault , this could be two problems, 1st when everything stops check the door safety switch , 2nd listen for the timer, if it stops running. good luck ,geodaws

What is the meaning of RPM

In general RPM is rotations per minute. This is usually a rating of the washer spin cycle; usually less water is left in the clothing after a faster spin cycle. The washer tub will rotate during the other cycles but that will often be much slower than the spin cycle.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(some front-loading High efficiency washers go up to 1200 RPM; top loaders only spin at half that rate usually.)

How do I clean my washing machine? My clothes and the washer have a mildew odor.

Add the entire packet of "TIDE WASHING MACHINE CLEANER" directly into the tub (no laundry) and close the door.

Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.
This method of "TUB CLEAN" is *not* from a service manual but has been the best method for cleaning out LG washers more than a year into incorrect detergent usage.

After this--use the correct amount of "HE" detergent & perform a "TUB CLEAN" cycle every (4) months using the *tub clean* option on the control panel.

My washer started to leak. I removed the front panel. I ran a load of clothes and watched closely. When the machine filled and started to agitate I noticed water coming front what to me appears to be some...

Hello litespeed102,

When you observed the agitation cycle did you hapen to notice if the inner tub was rotating during the wash cycle(not spin) if so the brake that is a internal part of the transmission isnt locking down the tub, and what is happening is water is coming from that tube due to centrifugal focre of the the tub rotating causing the water to rise to the level where it will enter into that tube. The only fix for that is to replace the transmission, which would cost more that the purchase price of the machine, over time it will get worse and while it may be only moderate leakage now later it it will be 1/2 of the waterin the tub if not more leaking from directly over the tub cover and just not merely from that tube

I have a whirlpool duet washer that will not spin at high speed and shows error code f 06

Error F06 is Drive Motor Tachometer Error
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check the Drive Motor
  • Check the MCU
  • Check the Wire Harness
