Question about Eureka Altima Upright Vacuum Model 2996AVS Vacuum
I just discovered that if you remove the dust cup, lay the vaccum back, reach up inside above the dust cup area, there is a yellow piece that can be removed (twist it and it comes out.) I found that there were GOBS of lint and pet hair stuck inside there. We removed all of that and the vacuum works great again!

Disconnect the hose from the base and turn it on see.if you have suction which i'm sure you will clean all the filters there are three.one above the dirt cup,one up inside above the dirt cup and one below the dirt cup that says hepa the door swings open.blow through the hose and see if its clogged.on the base where you disconnected the hose see if there is anything in there.if there is you can bend the tip of a coat hanger til the tip is round and work it down into the tube where the hose connects.if theres anything in there you should be able to push it out through the bottom with the hanger clean filters after every coule of uses
