When pulling in a sheet of paper, our hp 3030 crumples/wrinkles the paper on one side. On that same side, the first corner into the printer gets bent down as well.
I can't find what is causing this.
I replaced the toner cartridge and alleviated the wrinkle, but the bent corner remains. When I removed/replaced the toner cartridge, the wrinkles resumed. When pulling in a sheet of paper, our hp 3030 crumples/wrinkles the paper on one side. This is my problem, too. One corner gets bent over on the way in and the drag on the sheet of paper wrinkles the same side. This is my problem, too. One corner gets bent over on the way in and the drag on the sheet of paper wrinkles the same side.

There could be a foreign object or torn piece of paper that's stuck further inside the printer mechanism path. Try using a flashlight and inspecting any access or clean out hatches. Sometimes something will be caught inside and cause the paper you feed in to crumple and create a jam. I watched a video on youtube giving different ideas on how to fix this problem. Fixing Paper Pick-Up Issues
Try to turn off the printer, open the compartment and check the roller. try to pull the paper and at the same time flip the roller in such a way that the paper will move out. If it is jammed and crumpled like what I exactly experienced earlier, remove the paper as fast as you can.
Turn on the printer, wait for the inkjet devices in a neutral position. Then insert the paper and start printing again. If it didn't work, try to hold the tip of the paper in horizontal manner while printing and make sure you remove the entire paper before the next page prints itself...
There are many reasons why your photo paper gets jammed, but here the most common ones:
- The photo paper is crumpled, or the edges are fold. Be sure that the paper is completely straightened out before putting it in the feeder. - Your tray lock is larger than your paper. It is recommended that you keep your tray holder lock the size of your paper. The best way is still to keep a .5cm allowance. - There is something blocking the feeder which causes the paper to go out of track. Are you sure there isn't a crumpled paper or torn paper left with the feeder?
You have a piece of paper stuck in one of the switches that tells the machine you have a paper jam. One of the worst things to cause these are printing peel off labels as they sometimes peel off while printing and get caught in the mechanim. You have a jam it's just not a full size piece.
With printer unplugged, open lid and pull paper out by hand. Depending on where paper is jammed, you may have to lift out toner cartridge first. Be careful when pulling out paper, especially if paper is crumpled up. Sometimes it is easier to pull paper from back of printer as if it were continuing to print, and others it is easier to pull reverse from the front.
