Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
I do have water to the ice maker and ice production is unchanged. Water has ceased at the door dispenser. I have removed the filter and replaced with the "plug" to no avail. (tried the 2 minutes of pressing the dispense lever, too).
Is there a electronic relay that could have failed?
There is a solenoid-actuated water intake valve in the back of the refrigerator. Actually there are two - one for the icemaker and one for the water dispenser - which are usually combined into one assembly. Sometimes the electromagnetic coil burns out in one of them. The other possibility, which is less likely, is a bad mocroswitch at the dispenser where you press the lever.
