ALARM KEEPS GOING OFF

    It keeps bleeping and bleeping and is driving us nuts. Does anyone have a solution?

Mate prehaps the defrost element could be burntout thus no auto defrost and the big freeze and the alarm, when you switch off the defrost starts and the alarm resets?

Could be warning you that the condenser coil is in need of cleaning. Under front by toe plate or in the back under fiber cover. Vacuum out all dust and make sure the air circulation fan is running when the compressor is in operation.

SOURCE: The alarm on my fridge

It may be warning you that maintenance is in need. Check and clean your condenser coils . Under in front behind toe plate or in back behind removable fiber panel. Make sure the panel is replaced after you clean the condenser.

yes,

you have a defrost problem, three things..

one, defrost heater could be bad,

two, bi-metal could be bad,
and three, the timer could be bad.

any of these three items getting bad would result to one symptom.

ice buid up at the bottom of freezer section.

The circuit board is fitted behind the display right at the top.

Unplug.
Open fridge, undo the two screws under the display moulding.
Using a thin bladed scraper and a flat screwdiver, prise the panel off at the top join. The top is the only bit with plastc clips, but it will help to apply pressure with the screwdriver at one end as well.
Pull it forward by about 2", and remove the connectors to the on switch.
There may be a drip strip to remove before taking the board out.
Use a thin screwdriver to remove the retaining clip over the board.
Use a small flat screwdriver to lever the board out using he holes at each end.
Observe anti-static precautions as it contains Cmos chips.

Reverse procedure to replace.

The alarm is nothing more than a buzzer or light mechanism that is triggered by some sensor. . Disconnecting the wiring going to alarm will disable it.

Fridge motor, I think, is making death rattle noises and the alarm keeps going off every few days


ck the cond fan as this is a very common problem . if its going to slow cooling will be poor and alarm will keep going off . / also dirty cond coils will cause poor cooling but not the noise .. mm

My side by side, freezer the alarm keeps going off, i have taken everything out, it has basicly defrosted, i want to know is this effecting my fridge


yes it is, your fridge gets its cold air from the freezer. what is the alarm indicating? refer to your manual for any troubleshooting codes to narrow down possibly what your problem is. without inspection, i cant answer to the nature of the issue

Uneven cooling in fridge and annooying alarm every 10 hours!


Hi,

if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.

Frost free fridge freezer has build up of ice at bottom of freezer section. i have defrosted many times but problem remains. model KGU 34620/07 Can you help
